The Hungarian Association of Environmental Enterprises is organizing the National Odor Control Conference for the fifth time. The issue is particularly relevant given the transposition of the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED 2.0) by July 1, 2026, which is expected to bring about changes in odor control regulations. The current concept of environmental pollution is supplemented by the concept of “odor” (smell), and the permit application must also specify the odor emissions from the facility and their effects. It is therefore worth reviewing current practices, administrative procedures, complaint handling practices, and source-specific odor reduction technologies. The aim of the event is to bring together facility operators, authorities, local governments, odor control experts, measurement and sampling laboratories, and manufacturers and distributors of odor reduction technologies to find answers to emerging technical questions and prepare together for the expected changes.
Date: December 2, 2025 (Tuesday) 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Venue: Hotel Benczúr (1068 Budapest, Benczúr u. 35.)
A limited number of exhibition opportunities will also be available at the conference. Further details will be provided upon registration.
