The Interreg AQUATIC PLASTIC project will hold its closing conference in Budapest, bringing together policymakers, water and waste professionals, researchers and industry representatives to discuss the future of aquatic plastic prevention and management.

Titled the Aquatic Plastic Summit, the event will take place at the unique STOPPER Floating House, an emblematic venue on the Danube that reflects the project’s commitment to protecting our shared waters. Over the past years, AQUATIC PLASTIC has worked with partners from nine countries to identify policy gaps, develop practical solutions and strengthen transnational cooperation in tackling plastic pollution in rivers and freshwater systems.

The Summit will present key results, policy recommendations and replicable good practices, while opening dialogue on the next phase of European action. More details on the programme and registration will follow soon.
