Introduction
In January 2026, the Hungarian Association of Environmental Enterprises will publish the third edition of its landmark study, GREEN ECONOMY 2026. The publication not only charts the development of Hungary’s green industry but also serves as a compass guiding the transition toward a more sustainable economy. Spanning more than 250 pages and developed with the contribution of nearly 70 renowned experts, the study functions as both a scientific reference and a practical handbook. It presents domestic and international responses to environmental challenges, alongside best practices and innovative solutions.
GREEN ECONOMY 2026 is addressed not only to professionals, policymakers, university lecturers, and students, but also to responsible companies, —those that view CSR and ESG strategies not merely as compliance obligations, but as genuine opportunities for value creation.
Besides international professional organisations also commercial and economic attachés and experts of the Hungarian foreign missions abroad are very welcome to study and share this publication to promote Hungarian companies’ expertise in foreign markets.
The upcoming volume contains updated data, fresh perspectives, and an even greater emphasis on practical examples, it helps economic actors successfully navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory, technological, and social landscape.
Let’s shape the future green economy together!
