Partner meeting and study tour at the Lake Tisza (PET Cup

Our team closed really exciting days at Tid(y) Up! Project Partner meeting hosted near Tisza river.

After all online sessions it was a pleasure to finally have the chance to meet all the partners in person. Partner meeting continued at the Lake Tisza followed by hands-on macroplastic assesment by BOKU and the event was peaking in the PET CUP river cleanup action, where together with project partners we boarded the ’TidyUp’ plastic boat built on collected PET bottles and ended up collecting more than 5 tons of waste during the 3 days action. This action served also as a practical guideline for the other upcoming cleanup actions to learn and share experience in even extreme conditions and how full devotion and engagement contributes to the results. More cleanup actions are coming with the participation of project partners in Slovakia, Romania and Serbia!
