SAVE OUR RIVERS! AQUATIC PLASTIC handguide is out!

The PET Cup Society is dedicated to saving our beloved rivers from pollution. During the past 10 years, it has grown up from scratch to international best practices. In 2022, together with the partners we prevented and diverted 10 times more amount of pollution (cca. 700 tonnes) in the upstream countries than what we’ve collected in Hungary. Our Association has been a partner for a long time and supported the work with its resources and professional network, involving member companies’ expertise.

Tid(y)Up (Interreg DTP) became a Flagship Project and our riverine waste (aquatic plastic) sorting/treatment process delivered to partners ensured that 65% of this volume was recycled. This led to the river clean-up effort with a circular economy concept in mind. All the knowledge, the experience and lessons learnt and the asessments of international cleanups resulted in the first edition of our AQUATIC PLASTIC Transnational River Cleanup Handguide by the authors: Attila David Molnar and Gary Hankó.
